How RitAPI Prevented a School Website Attack — and Protected an Entire Learning Community

A few months ago, a private high school in Central Java noticed something strange.
Late at night, their website began redirecting visitors to online gambling pages — pages the school never created.

Panic followed. Teachers feared the website had been hacked. Parents were shocked. And students could no longer access homework or schedules.

That’s when they reached out to PT SYDECO, who installed RitAPI Advanced within their infrastructure.
Within minutes, RitAPI detected unusual API calls coming from an unauthorized foreign IP address. The system identified that the school’s WordPress site had been injected with a hidden iframe script leading to gambling domains.

RitAPI instantly blocked the suspicious IPs and cleaned all malicious API traffic, while keeping the educational services online and uninterrupted.
The school’s IT team later confirmed that the attackers had exploited a vulnerable plugin — one that many other schools also used.

Today, the school’s website is fully protected.
Since deploying RitAPI, no further injection or redirection has occurred. Their students and parents browse safely, unaware of the invisible shield defending them.

“We didn’t realize our school was vulnerable to something like this. RitAPI stopped the attack before it caused real damage — and now we know we’re safe.”
Mr. Adi Wicaksono, Head of IT, Private High School Yogyakarta

Why it matters

Educational institutions are among the most common targets for injected redirects, phishing, and data misuse — because they host thousands of daily logins but often lack professional security monitoring.

RitAPI changes that reality — making professional API/IP-level protection accessible, automated, and Indonesian-made.
